How heavy are a pair of Defender front springs?

    As per the title...

How heavy - as in kilograms - is a pair of Defender front springs?

I'm thinking of asking a work colleague to pick a pair up for me when he flies out next week, but I suspect it will put him well over the excess baggage, especially if he's on JetStar for part of the trip.

Anyone got one (or two) old ones lying around they could chuck on the scales and tell me the weight?

Just weighed a pair of standard Defender front springs. It was exactly 10 kgs for the pair.
Good luck with the excess baggage!

    Thanks, 10kg!

And here was me thinking 10kg each! Think I'll ask him if he's got luggage space after all.

Dave - reckon your arm might need a few ales to re-calibrate, reading a little on the heavy side

The joke is the number of us who just happen to have a spare pair of springs and ran out the back to pick 'em up.

    Cheers
