Many here like to use Penrite. Personally, it's all I use. I had a Nissan ED30 Diesel in my SIII at one stage () and initially used Penrite. I later moved north and couldn't get any locally and tried a variety of other oils. The Penrite was the only oil that maintained a good oil pressure, all the others dropped quite a bit (50%) when warm.
I don't have an oil pressure gauge on the Defender, so I can't comment on how it's performing on the Tdi, but I've had no issues.
I don't think 200K is much for a diesel; and especially in Tasmania, I don't think you'd need to go to a thicker oil.

This is like asking what's the best religion
Grab the owner's manual and get the oil specs from that, and then buy a quality brand. Your local Repco/AutoPro/etc will have a range of premium stuff that will suit.
