    long range tank loose

    Hi All,
I have been slowly going over my recently purchased 130 tdi, tightening replacing removing etc and have discovered that the long range tank has 2 loose mounting bolts on the rear cross member, were these welded in? because you would need a very specially shaped hand, arm and spanner to tighten. Does any one have advice on sorting this out without the use of a gas ax!!
    Thanks
    Malcolm

I fitted one to my 110 Cab Chassis http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-t...-big-tank.html

I'm assuming that the 110 and 130 are the same from a mounting point perspective. If so, two bolts come down from the top through a bracket. The tank is lifted up into place and I can get a ring spanner onto the top of the bolts accessed from above. I then used a 12" extension on a long series socket to secure the nuts.

    Not sure if that helps.
