Over ten years of driving the County I have never done it, then once I hopped into Lewy110's V8 County in the front passenger side - rip - brand new pair of Levi's between the back pocket & Levi badge a nice 40 mm tear. Too good to throw out at the time, they've now become shed pants but for years everyone knew what colour jocks I was wearing:eek:

second look i don't think the the guard would achieve anything but the end of the latch seems to be flatten off a bit i have only had the car for 3 months and the door closes and opens with out any problem .the previous owner must have torn his pants once to much:D
After all this talk I nearly took a belt loop off my jeans today :o
I know that I am tempting fate...what is the problem? I get into and out of the Defender at least twice a day wearing strides with belt loops...never an issue.:confused:
Surely the build tolerances aren't that loose? :p
