    County Seats

OK I know there is another thread on this.
But is there a supplier of Seat rubbers in aussie?
Or should I make some up, either cut or mold if there are few others who would like some.
To do that I would need to have a look at a good one ( Adelaide)
And if there are a few people interested, any suggested mods, like lumbar support etc, in fact I could even make up rubbers for individual drivers if I have there leg lengths.

As far as I know the only supplier of these is Exmoor Trim in the UK. They are reported as having stopped selling to the public, but when I bought rubbers from them, they said they were looking for an Australian agent, so contacting them might be worth a try.

You might be interested to see my article in the AULROVIAN about fitting these (see downloads).

Note that the seats are essentially identical from the early 110 up to at least 2007, so you are not talking about just Countys.

Just looking into this myself. The Exmoor Trim website has a list of websites for companies that sell their stuff. It looked to me like it would cost about $400AU delivered for new rubbers and covers for a pair of front seats.

I spoke to Karcraft - they sell Bearmach, Bearmach sell Exmoor, and although they don't carry any in stock, they'll bring in anything that is in the Bearmach catalogue. I'm guessing it might be a longer wait; shipping container vs. air freight.

Of the $400, about $80 was freight.

    Cool

If thay are the same all the way though, It may be worth looking into this.
$200 a side seems a bit steep. once the pattens are made up it quite simple realy. i will look at pricing up this week.
That only leaves fabric to sort out.

I doubt you'll find a motor trimmer who'd do the job for less than that.

'Though I'd like their number if you do.

How did I know you were going to say that. I'd say the same, except that I've sold all my industrial machines, and I don't know the first thing about making up seat foam.

The actual foams are quite a complex shape and are moulded. When I got them they cost me about 25 pounds each and about the same for postage. (seat only not the back) Since the covers were the expensive bit, I did not get them - washed the covers and reused them.

I will be buying some seat foams (and possibly recover kits) very soon. Is there any possibility to organise a group buy (if it means a discount).
