    What a joy

Just jumped into the 130 and took it for a drive. After a couple of weeks away and driving the County I'm amazed at the difference. Sprightly, light, easy, jumps away at the traffic lights.

    I know, 300Tdi.

Maybe it's not having 400Kg of junk in the back. Maybe it's the bodyroll in the County without the self-leveller working.

I think the Isuzu is in for some competition.

    Cheers

Yes, a lot of these things are relative aren't they.

After 23 years driving a LWB Series III, I was impressed by the performance and economy of my new second hand 300 TDi Defender and just couldn't understand why people on this forum complained about how noisy their Defender was.

The Outback is almost as sluggish as the Defender, takes lot of loud pedal to get it moving.

    Lighter clutch, though.

    Nope you don't like it.
