Thanks rick130, will the Dana 60 cover fit on neat without doing any mods,shaving etc. I want to fit it without doing and shaving etc to my diff, do all the bolt holes line up exactly.Thanks Bearman

Yes, you just have to throw away the bolts they supply and get some metric ones (12mm coarse ??) as the new cover is 8mm thick and therefore the OE bolts aren't long enough.

The new cover is good in that the fill hole is higher (for a high pinion diff) so you can easily add a little extra oil if you are running oil lubed bearings.
I use an 80W-140 gear lube too as the iron cover won't dissipate heat anywhere near as fast as the pressed tin cover.

And don't I need one for my front diff (if it were a Sals), its had more hits than Elvis
