Has any body else had problems with clutchs.
my o6 defender has just left for land rover on the back of a tilit tray
according to racq the slave cylinder has gone.
Has anybody else had a similar problem or is mine a one off issue.
The truck has just done 40 000 K's and hasn't done much hard offroading, i would of thought that the clutch (slavve cylinder ?)should last considerably longer then this.

Also depends on operating conditions - humid or dusty weather will shorten the life, as will any hydrocarbon contamination of the fluid.
