What happened to break the old ones? was it the same thing that pushed the number plate into the winch slot, but hasn't left any scratches?
    Just curious.

The previous owner broke them. The Defender was used on a farm quite a bit, so he probably hit a sheep or something .......the nice thick wooly coat prevented any scratching

Murray, are you the same Murray that bought my dad's old Rangie from Williamstown?
And gave me an aircon unit for my old 'Fender?

    G'day Fraser,
Yeah, that's me. Actually I'm about to get the Rangie ready to sell on again as I've recently bought a Td5 Defender to replace it as my daily driver. The Rangie has done me well though. It's never missed a beat in the time I've had it, but it uses too much fuel. Reliable old thing.

    Cheers, Murray
