						SubscriberHi All,
I'm expecting my TD4ciPUMA110LR... next week
Just wanted to check what silly options have been left out of the new defender. I also have a TD5 Extreme, and the level of equipment on that is not too bad from the factory. But the TD4ciPUMA110LR seems to be somewhat stripped down in comparison.
1 - Does the TD4ciPUMA110LR come automatically with front mudflaps?
2 - I've asked for a load area protector for the back, and mats all round, is there anything else I should ask for?
3 - Are there any options I should request that I will miss in comparison with the TD5 extreme?
Thanks!

aren't you supposed to option when you first buy the car? not when its a week away from delivery!
as i thought a lot of stuff that is optional gets put on in th uk where the car is built

Front mud flaps, as mentioned no, but they are the same as from Tdi and Td5 in part number.
Load area protector and mats are big $'s, get the LR front mats as they are worth it and then go to Clark Rubber for some rubber matting for the rest, buy a sharp knife and have fun.

I would recommend the one piece Mantec snorkel if you need a snorkel as its a very slim fit.
Genuine tow bar is also worth getting over the ARB, TJM etc one as it doesn't ruin your departure angle as much. It will, however, prevent you putting in a larger fuel tank but that can be resolved by the 45L side tank from OL.
If you are getting a bullbar and winch then get the OEM HD front springs fitted.
One last thing, search the forum for Melvill & Moon canvas seat covers, these are excellent.

But I prefer the Safari (even with the Sikaflex),
I have the STD front springs yet have winch and bar and havent noticed much drop but a re-susp kit is on the cards.
Other change - if your inclined is to negotiate different rubber. Many are happy with the STD - i opted for STT's.
Definately go for M&M's - worth the hunt and the $$$
There isn't too much I would get from LR apart from tinting and rustprotection, we also got paint protection (what ever that is???) The HD front springs sound good though.
Snorkle I'd go Safari
Bullbar ARB
Winch your choice (I think Tiger)
Chequer Plate kit from Rova Tech
Tow bar Hayman Reece (but I do hear what their saying about LR Genuine)
Light protectors Rova Tech
Stereo Do your own the factory one is "average"
Bash Guard Opposite lock
Long range tank Opposite lock
Front Diff guard Opposite lock

Just think of your Defender as a blank canvis that for the next few years you can keep throwing fist fulls of money at and smile "It's almost where I want it"

Yes it is the darkest legal and the reason I got it from them was I thought it would be waya easier to follow up with warrenty returns when it got scratched from all the mud. And yes they have already redone two widows
Cheers,
ok i'm confused i thought tints went on the inside of the windows? they do on my disco
how do you scratch them with mud on the inside
would they of gone darker on the tint? e got darkest legal on the front and darker on the back...with a lifetime warrenty
