    Engine saver 98 Defer

    Hi all ,
    Just bought a engine saver -sensor in the radiator type.
    Installation seems straight forward enough but unsure where to access for power wire and how to attach.What parts of the dash have to be dismantled and where do I plug in/splice to the wiring system.
    If some pics were available that would help and YES I have done a search but theres nothing specific enough to make me confident enough to have a go or at least keep an eye on the non landy loving auto elecs around here
    Thanks,
    Mary

    I attached mine to a power wire behind the cigarette lighter, can't remember exactly which one now but it was easy to get to.

    Gday Mary
    I have the sensor that goes in the top raditor hose.

    Anyway I soldered the power to my temp power and earth to temp earth.I put the buzza down on the right hand steering column where that little hole is.The waring light I drilled a 6mm hole between the fuel and temp gauge at the bottom so I could see it.

    You only have to undo a couple of screw at the top and bottom of the dash pretty easy and install.

    Ive just taken these pics of the dash..

    Hope this helps

    Hi Mallefowl;
    Re: The power wire I tapped into a Light Green Ignition wire out of the Fuse box so unit switches on with the ignition. just to test it turn the ignition on and if you have a multimetre poke a hole into the green wire and earth the other lead and you should get 13.6 v.
