    Defender dual cab Q's

Hi, I like Defender dual cabs and aim to get one in the future for workhorse/tourer. Late 110 or early 130 probably.
How well do they take to mods eg: suspension lifts larger tyres, performance upgrades etc.
Also do the drivetrains handle such mods or do they need corresponding upgrades to cope.
    Thanks, Dave

i own a 94 130 and i'm just going through this all! fitting anymore than 2" suspension lift requires extended shafts, radius arms, break lines, panhard rods and trailing arms to do it properly but this is the same with many vechiles. i am looking to fit bigger tyres, 33 or 35" but going 35" will need new diff ratios... great truck but as with any vechile 1 mod results in needing to do several more

    Goodluck mate, Tim

Thanks mate. Yeah went through the same with my GQ: 6", 35's etc. Arms and stuff are no problem. I'm a welder and can get radius arms laser cut too.
Do Defenders have bolt through flanges on the tailshafts at each end?

yeah mate all the flanges on the prop shafts bolt through. this can be a saviour i'm told because if u break a diff etc you can pull the axles out (because they are full floating) and unbolt the prop shaft, then put ur centre diff lock in and this can get u home.
