    What Colour is Yours, Why?

    Hi there again....

I am interested to know what coloured paint job is on your deefer and if you specifically wanted the colour on the vehicle you eventually bought. Sometimes, the colour you may want is just not available, or the one off the show room floor happens to sparkle and we eventually take whatever is there...

White seems to be the traditional Deefer colour, or Chawton White as it is in the Puma range. For those that have metallic colours, have you been satisfied with the finish? What are the down sides to the metallic. I can speak from my own experience in the bush that a solid white has been much easier to touch up.

If you had another crack at the colour, would you change it?

The Tdi is white (can't remember which variant) but is really stained by the bauxite dust.

The Puma, well we had a choice of Chawton White or Zermatt Silver. Having owned a silver Disco before it was easy to choose this colour as it doesn't show, dirt, scratches or blemishes nearly as much as a lot of other colours.

If I had a choice (and I could get it) then Tangiers Orange of the G4 Challenge vehicles would be my pick.

Mine is white. When you buy second hand, you usually have to take what you can get. Maybe all cab/chassis were white.

However I wouldn't change it. It is cooler than any other colour. That is speaking literally of course; it reflects the heat better.

As you say, it is a lot easier to match if repairs or touch up are required.

Anyway, I just like the look of it. It sort of looks utilitarian and unpretentious.

Big red is red.... (actually its kind of a metallic burgandy)

I like it but the missus likes the ghost grey and we've seen on kicking around the albury area thats a sort of lightning blue that she likes as well...

colour doesnt concern me too much, most of the vehicles I drive are the same drab green colour.

    Exclamation

well my 90 started of life as white.

But we rebuilt it and sprayed it a Land Rover colour Monte Carlo Blue

Our 110 we bought second hand and did not have alot of choice on colour . But my wife did not want a white one . I think our colour is Brooklyn Green (well that is what land rover used to call this flat green)

That G4 Disco's been for sale for over a week. Wish I knew how much. Shame it's not a G4 Defender.
