    diffs going

latly i have been doing alot of 4wding an i have a good wine coming from the front end,, im prity shour iv put it down to the diff, all the props are lubed well an there is new oil in the diffs an no water in them ,,

the most i can say about it is its at its worse when crusing an just a tiny bit of throtle to keep the same speed up, an it happends on run down,, an when axelerating, but it goes away when im say going up a hill an full throtle(td5 defender so u have to have full throtle) under full load,

all iv found is that i can tern the front prop about a 1/4 of a tern brfore it takes up, an i feel this is to much, am i rite?
there is alot of drive line slack it feels when driving, an if your abit to hard it will clunk like hell,
any way can i tell if its the diff with out removing it, but i think i will anyway to check it out, but just to make shour??

lately i have been doing a lot of 4wding and i have a good whine coming from the front end,, i'm pretty sure I've put it down to the diff, all the props are lubed well and there is new oil in the diffs and no water in them ,,

the most i can say about it is its at its worse when cruising and just a tiny bit of throttle to keep the same speed up, and it happens on run down,, and when accelerating, but it goes away when i'm say going up a hill and full throttle(td5 defender so you have to have full throttle) under full load,

all I've found is that i can turn the front prop about a 1/4 of a turn before it takes up, and i feel this is too much, am i right?

There are plenty of gramatical errors and so on in your reply Jimbo if you're trying to be a smart arse

Stig, I would say 1/4 of a turn is too much slack. How many K's has it done?

remove the propshaft to the suspect diff and then lock the CDL.

the whine should now be constant as the diff is unpowered.

You would have to take that up with the hotmail spell checker, it doesn't check grammar................

Not trying to be a smart arse, just hate spending ages trying to decode what was written. It has been mentioned by others before.
