Certainly they say that for legal reasons, but I have been under the impression that with a bridle they were more than strong enough. Land Rover tell me to never do a snatch recovery so it wouldn't get the sudden stress of a snatch.
If this is incorrect and they cannot be used I will have to go back to not having a clue. At present there is nothing on a SVX to use. The usual tie down point which Land Rover say to use with a bridle are covered by the SVX bash plate.
