I suppose I should look at mine and see if its got a part number on it, then I'll know if my 08MY Puma has the 1st or 2nd generation pump on it.
Hello Folks,
Got my Defender back from Southside today - it required a new Brake Vacuum pump.
I see I have part No : LR012183. Looking in the sticky section, it seems there is an update to the service bulletin regarding this issue. It states that a 2nd replacement pump has been issued - part number LR006782.
So has Land Rover replaced my 1st generation dud pump with the 2nd generation dud pump rather than installing the 3rd generation revised pump?

I will get junior to look at his & try & see the number of the pump he has.Half the fun will be trying to work out which thingy it is!
We took it down to Ormaeu for a careful run on the weekend,& it comes out of CDL all by itself
The leaver seems to move across & then the light goes off.
Anyway they can have a look at it next week when it goes in to have the chassis repainted. It looks like it was done by a two year old with a can of spraypaintsurface rust is coming through all over the place.
The Wabco vacuum pump on the Puma does not have a part no. on it.

914 004 005 k
yciq2a451ag 14A09
