Hi all
I have seen some Defenders with a snorkel type set up attached to the LH side air intake on the front guard.
Is there any advantage to this?
Cheers

they're 200Tdi Defenders. The 300Tdi is on the RHS
I am talking about the grill on top of the LH front guard, I assume it sucks air for the air con/ cabin.

Thats right i think, I have seen Defenders with 2 snorkels. somepeople fit those little barrel shaped ones to filter the cabin air. (in my 200tdi the dust would clog the filter from inside the cabin !)
I was thinking of these...

I've got one fitted to my 200tdi and heve found it makes a difference.
However, mine's not the type with the grille on the front and I do find that stuff gets stuck in there (twigs, leaves, etc), as I also left on the original flat grille to prevent that stuff getting sucked up into the air intake.
