That shoulder on the sump is a pain in the backside though so I'll be looking for an allen head bolt to suit.

If your measurement of 15.7 is correct then your options are to use M18 x 1.5, tap drill 16.5mm; or, use M18 x 2.0, tap drill 16.0mm. I would prefer to stay with the finer pitch.

Yes, that's what I'd worked out, but decided to go for the coarser pitch for a meatier thread... and possibly mill a groove on the bolt for an o-ring.

Finer thread is better if your not heavy handed doing it up :cool:

Course pitch will stress the alloy more and more likely to loosen up...

Just replace the copper washer with a Bonded Washer (also known by brand name "Dowty Washer")

Turned out that I could only get an M18 X 1.5 anyway :D

I STILL haven't fitted mine, as I'm waiting for my next oil change!
And Scott is correct, the extension is WAY too long to be of any use..
I might get back to the manufacturer and see if I can get my hands on a valve that hasn't been threaded yet, and if there is enough "meat" on it, get a mate to cut the right thread and shoulder on it, then send Jack a drawing of it so he can offer them specifically for Td5's.
