Tyre - Questions
Hi there all
Well I have a question for the forum - currently looking to upgrading the tyres on my 130 Dual Cab.......
options one
Have heard many views regarding running 15" rims (31 10R 15 or bigger) regarding insurance due to weight issues.........the 15" tyres are a cheaper option and relatively available in most places, but will need flared guards on the rear tub (if you can get them)
Or option two
Stick with the original wider rims (Standard on early 130's) and purchase a more agressive thread (I do like Simex but suspect high road noise)......what is the best to use taking into consideration costs.
Well open it up to the forum - what would you do and whats the better brands and size...
All the best
Wayne

My preference would be standard 6.5 x 16 tubeless rims with 235/85 BFG ATs. I have been looking out for feedback on tyres. I haven't had them before but seem to get good reports. Coopers of recent times also seem to get good reports. If going Coopers would go STs in same size. Mickey Thompsons also get very good reports. However, these are probably the three most expensive brands.
I am interested in 255/85s only to increase gearing on lt95 box.
