Thread: 110 , 130 or Single Cab ...

Have you had a sit in a single cab ute? There is not a lot of leg room if you are tall, and you can't shift the seats back that far. There are a few "extended" single cab 130s around with an extra 12" (?) added, like an xtra-cab type of thing. Bit more room. If you are not over 6' then it might not matter to you.

im 180cms and 95kgs lol .. not a small bloke i think im gonna have to sit in them and see what suits me best

You really have to try it for yourself to see if you are comfortable.

I am 180cm but only 62 kgs and I have heaps of room. My shoulder doesn't touch the door and my leg is nowhere near the handbrake. However some people not much bigger than me complain about both those things. My brother-in-law is a good 10cm taller and me and weighs about one and a half times as much. He didn't complain when he sat in the passenger's seat where some off the leg room is stolen by the AC.

Another thing to bear in mind is that some people's reaction when they first sit in a Defender is that it is too cramped, too upright and too uncomfortable, but at the end of a long day, they find they are in better shape than in some other supposedly more comfortable vehicles. One person's comment was that other vehicles are more comfortable to sit in while a Defender is more comfortable to drive.

I suppose the point I want to make is that you shouldn't dismiss the Defender on the basis of a few seconds in the seat.

ho har is 6'3" and he can not drive a single cab in comfort so we bought a

duel cab 130....much better leg room and is very comfortable on long trips

ive got a 110 ute and always thought it was a little cramped, but i just ripped out the middle seat and am going to put in a cubby. and i just build a roof console for the uhf and cd player and it now seem like there is more room. and it is so much more functional now. im 177 cm and 80kg and i like the feeling of the door being right there when off road and not banging into it as the going gets rough. but i would love an extra cab just for that little extra storage and slightly more leg room on long drives

I'm 6'1'' and 95kg and I don't have any trouble with my 110 wagon,my tojo work vehicles have more shoulder room but I hate reaching for first and the lay back position they have.I find my ar%e gets sore in them too after an hour or so. Pat

Yea, but your biased

Try a single cab, I'm 6'3" and about 90kg, it ain;t comfy by any measure

But I do drive with the window down all seasons
