I casually asked them a week ago about an LT85 gearbox ( not tfr) outright purchase & they replied 750 pounds plus about 300 pounds freight, but I think I have to pay GST & duty on top of that.
That works out to around $2200 plus any taxes plus a transfer box - but there are plenty of those locally.

You need to check the suffix on the box - j, k, l...

Well...the tear out has begun...

Gearbox will be rebuilt with new main shaft, new bearings and seals. Transfer case will get a new "case" with original internals put back in with new bearings and seals. Clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and fork will get replaced as well as flywheel machined. Also rear seal on engine will get replaced.

Now I am going to have to work until I am 85 to pay for the bill!

3 week turnaround....it going to be a long 3 weeks!
