clutch 130

well guys i got the landy back, call me a pessimist but the *****s managed to drop a captive nut off whilst removing the doors that is now hatching a plan to corrode the bulkhead/ door post .....good job the bulkhead is getting changed out in the near future.
the clutch does not feel stiffer than it was, but spossed to be new ...is this the norm ?
apparently the slave came from land rover minus the push rod(in a landy sealed bag!) and they reckon the one on there from the original is not quite straight ...is it right that it just butts up to the clutch fork ?? as in it doesn't have a retainer on the flared end

i gotta say i feel depressed by the whole thing, i hate sending the landy out to have the work farmed out, as i believe even though they get paid for it most commercial companies do not have the care i would ...they put new floor panel screws in with no washers (as an example) maybe i am too anal but it does **** me so

The slave cyl doesen't come with the pushrod, and the clutch SHOULD feel lighter as the pivot ball should've been lubed and this makes a huge difference. BTW I guess now is NOT thge time to ask if a (genuine) Valeo 130 spec clutch, fork and spigot bush was fitted and flywheel machined?
:eek: I hope the fork was replaced as it WILL fail in the not too distant future.

Jussy the clutch supposed to come from landy (which i doubt ) as i was told by the RAC bloke its a 'heavy duty clutch'
the issue was actually not the clutch as i told the RAC a few times until it sunk in, it was the fork so the old clutch was probably fair to middling but thought best to whack a newie in as the gear box was out ...wonder if i have screwed myself killing two birds with one stone,just looked at the bill- clutch part number reads :R1175N dunno if that is a landy part seems a bit short of figures.
the fork looks to have come from rovacraft part number RO-FTC2957 so that will be a britpart i guess, same as the slave they put in,
They note the clutch slave push rod is slightly bent and requires replacement,will scour the uk for a new one
