well guys i got the landy back, call me a pessimist but the *****s managed to drop a captive nut off whilst removing the doors that is now hatching a plan to corrode the bulkhead/ door post .....good job the bulkhead is getting changed out in the near future.
the clutch does not feel stiffer than it was, but spossed to be new ...is this the norm ?
apparently the slave came from land rover minus the push rod(in a landy sealed bag!) and they reckon the one on there from the original is not quite straight ...is it right that it just butts up to the clutch fork ?? as in it doesn't have a retainer on the flared end
i gotta say i feel depressed by the whole thing, i hate sending the landy out to have the work farmed out, as i believe even though they get paid for it most commercial companies do not have the care i would ...they put new floor panel screws in with no washers (as an example) maybe i am too anal but it does **** me so
