I've considered changing but won't at this stage. I will be fitting Hi Tuff axles and changing to oil lubed parts then (to fit a locker).

According to owners manual exploded diagram there is 'axle shaft joint washer' behind the flange.

Oh and do I just use copper grease for this application?

if you are just changing the axles than yes pretty simple, i used to use normal wheel bearing grease although there is probably something a little better for the drive flanges, i still have no idea on the washer, the only washer i can think of is the lock washer for the two hub nuts which you are not touching anyway

why not put the hytuff axle's in now?

OK. Nope, not talking about the lock nut washer. I'll see if I can upload the pic.

Because I already have the standard axles and don't have the money for the hytuff at the moment.

Just noticed it's for a 90. Maybe they're different.

Well its practically the same as the 110 anyway, the washer(labeled as 2) in the diagram is actualy a gasket, i usualy just use some RTV silicon to seal them it works fine

Tom, if you're fitting maxidrive axles then it may be a bit more to it than that on the PS. The axle has a set of splines on it that are larger in diameter than the regular axle. This is for the locking dog to slide on. To get that side back in you will have to take the whole hub off as it wont just slide through the little axle hole.
