    Height

    Hi All,

Just wandering what the average height of a typical Defender driver is?

I come in around 6'3", and was wondering if there are any other lanky fellas (or ladies) getting around in Defenders???

    Only 180 cms, I'm afraid.

It depends on which Defender as to how much actual room you get. A single cab pre-Puma with air conditioning is going to be the worst for you. Wagons and dual cabs allow the seat to be slid back further. You can also install seat mount extensions (there might even be a set on the Markets at the moment, from memory).

There is some pretty good info and suggestions in this thread:

    might be worth a poll

    I am 185cm / 6.07 foot.

If you feel too squeezed in try a set of seat extensions - works a treat.

    Cheers,

I had no major issue in the 300Tdi, so the TD5 should be the same? Both where 110's

Is there a link to a supplier of the seat extensions ?

I'm pretty certain that the TD5 has the same air conditioning set up as the Tdi (someone else will know for sure).

You can make the seat extensions yourself out of some box section (something like 25 x 25), or, you might find that Mulgo knows someone..... (www.exploz.com.au)

I'm 6'3 too. No dramas for me in the wagons and crew cabs, but the single cab is way too claustrophobic for me
