sounds silly, but toothpaste on a rag works a treat. the white stuff (not the gell), it is a fine cutting compound and removes unwanted paint easily.

Hi
I rubbed my flare against a sign post. No damage but some white paint rubbed off onto the flare and it hasn't all scrubbed off with a brush and soap.
Is there anything I could use in the way of turps or white spirit or something or would that stuff damage the rubber? Is it just a mater of me upping the elbow grease and sticking with a scrubbing brush?
TIA

I did this too!- I couldn't get all the post's paint off either, so I got some Maguires black trim detailer stuff from Supercheap - it worked a treat.
But I'd try the toothpaste first!
