    nice ride Marky
defenders like a good wife-put enough effort into the relationship and they'll put a smile on your face every time, gotta wonder about people who have to upgrade every couple of years -maybe they weren't happy to start with

    Thanks guys!
Getting the warm & fuzzies through this WWW thing, as well as driving him!
Picked him up for $4900 'as is' from a Melbourne car yard, c/w full-length steel rack, two spare wheels and a factory LR cargo barrier.

Have spent the same again on a new(ish) head, tyres, timing belt and various other bits (viscous, rear window etc.); the only other main thing will be a gearbox refurb in a year or so as it's a bit whiney and sticky now and again.

Big bonus was when I drove down to the RW garage to check on Big John's progress, some geezer booted the tyres of my disco and offered me five grand 'as is'! Fate, or what?

I feel the same but my old girl needs some TLC and I would like another new one. Pat

ok true, but if i was to take my 85 county and spend the difference from not getting a puma, say 40K i would end up with a county that is nicer to drive, more capable, quieter, faster and better looking than any puma
