Are you sure it is a 130? It could be a 110.
Just had a look on the UK landrover site that has the double cab pickup (our defender 130 HCPU I assume) in 3 variants - base, county and XS. The XS has ABS and ETC. Does this mean the new 130's we will be getting has the traction control????
Anybody in the know.

Unfortunately not, according to the Australian Land Rover site. 110 models only. The 130's don't get ABS either.

it could have been the 110 but the rear cab looked as long as the 130's....if the aust. site is as up to date with info on defenders as the staff on the floor then I wouldn't rely on the site....that is actually why I posted this question as the guy couldn't even point out where the battery was.
Recent LR propaganda was explaining that they were bringing all the long wheel models (but no 90). This included the 110 dual cab chassis or ute tub and the wierd looking 130 single cab long ute tub.
Finally progress in the range...but they still can't commit to the 90.
ABS and traction control standard on 110 wagon, 110 dual cab ute, option for the rest of 110's......not on any of the 130's.

The sheer weight of a 130 would probably be the reason, to heavy to use in offroad situations, and too slow and long to use TC on road.
Ever taken a corner to fast in a 130? scary
