Thread: leak axle housing 110 tdi

hi all i had a blocked rear diff breather and oil started leaking from the axle tube where it meets the diff housing .
fixed the breather but still notice a fine mist still coming from the housing not much any one got any ideas how do i stop it or will it eventually stop .
i allso have maxidrive axles so i over filled the diff by a few pumps regards david

Me be thinking the pressed in axle tube to diff fitting would be one of the last places for the housing to depressurize (seals would go first)...
I think you may have bent/cracked/damaged the press fitting and it will leak irrespective of breather?
Wont rust now - but may break further.
