    Add-ons for a new 110

I've been more than happy with my 2001 Disco since i got it new but for work reasons i've started looking at picking up a new 110 SW before the end of the year. That's now started me down the path of of working out what add-ons i need and i'd appreciate some of your thoughts.

My Disco was fitted out in Sydney when i lived there for a few years, but I'mback in Victoria and based about 100km to the east of Melbourne so am looking at suppliers and fitters within a reasonable distance from Mekbourne.

I'm looking at the following items:
    • ARB winch bar...of course
    • Roofrack - would you go with the Land Rover adventure rack or the Bearmach rack that Rovacraft have
    • Access ladder with lamp guard
    • Side protection runners
    • Snorkel - I have a safari on my Disco but I think I have read somewhere that they haven't made a model that fits the 2007 Defender without causing issues. I suppose that Mantec is the other main option here.
    • Sump guard
    • Diff guard
    • Diff locker - looking at the ARB air locker
    • Cargo barrier - go with the Land Rover one or a Milford?
    • Snow/mud chains - i like the look of the ARB diamond chains
    • Long range tank
    • Dual battery
    • Tyres - I ran a set of Coopers Discoverer S/T for 130,000km on the disco so I feel very comfortable with them, but am wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Cooper Discoverer S/T-C's? I'm thinking about a set of 265/75R16 in either setup.

In my head the four suppliers and fitters i am thinking of are Land Rover (MLR), ARB, AMV and Rovacraft but i'm open to all options who have the right price and service

    thanks
    Mick

Based on my experience here are couple of things to think about:

I would not fit a roof rack unless I really really needed it, defender roofs are not good in the long term with a roof rack. My older defender's roof has already rattled loose, and I don't even have a roof rack.

I would also NOT fit a long range tank until the warranty expires, unless you get the dealer to do it when you order the vehicle. Interfering with the fuel system can cause you much headaches with warranty claims, and with the PUMA you've got a good chance of needing your warranty.

Everything else sounds fine! I've run a couple of sets of Cooper STT 235/85 for 100kk and then BFGoodrich MTR 235/85 for the last 30kk. The stock size seems to work really well, particularly on a Mud pattern. Mileage on both brands seems pretty good, certainly as good as the AT/R's I have tried on previous vehicles. And I've never had a puncture in 250kk's. I looked at going for 255/85's but decided that the legalities weren't worth the effort for the tiny difference. YMMV

p.s I've used Rangie Automotive in Lilydale for some things and they seem pretty good.
