    Q for Mulgo re ExBox

Daniel (or anyone who might know),

I've got a Puma and are looking to replace the cubby box. I seem to remember a couple of threads (can't find them at the moment) where it's mentioned that the ExBox won't fit Pumas (would interfere with the transfer knob) but that you are working on that? Any more info?

Also, would like to know the internal dimensions.

    Thanks
    slt

    Hello Sit,

Prototype for the 'Puma-TdCi' Ex-Box is finished. We will discuss it this Friday if all good we go into production mode.
Should hopefully be ready for the LR Clubs' Expo end of September.

The Ex-Box is not a replacement for the standard LR Cubby Box. It's intention is to provide space for all the electronic gear which normally sits under the drivers' seat.
The standard LR Cubby Box is then bolted onto the Ex-Box.

For a late Td5 model the Ex-Box is pretty much full once you transferred all the gear. For the TdCi model you will have additional space to put your own gear in (eg radio).

In regards to the size. The TdCi Ex-Box has the same width as the Cubby Box, it is about 50mm longer than the CB and the height is roughly 150mm. The main differences to the standard Ex-Box are: 1) the front section is at a slight slope to give room for the differential lever and 2) the rear section finishes further back.

Trust to see you be at the Land Rover Clubs' Expo.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

    Thanks Daniel,

Great, exactly what I'm looking for. That way I won't even have to wear the "where's the cup holder gone" from my "navigator"

Looking forward to see it at the expo.

    Cheers
