    Tow Hitch

    Has anyone had any success with a Replacement LongRanger tank and a Tow Hitch on a TD5 - 2006 -110. I am just after some heads up as to what is the best solution. The LongRanger tank is on, so it is staying. Are there any specific brands that fit or any adjusting need to be done?

    This might not be much help, but seeing as no one else is replying ......

    I have a 130 (perhaps 140) litre Long Ranger tank on a 130 Tdi with a Hayman Reece hitch. It's a little bit more fiddly to get the nuts onto the bolts holding the hitch on, but no major drama.

    Hayman Reese hitch is the only one the tank will fit with. We had to replace our genuine hitch when we fitted our tank.

    No pics. We bought it from the local TJM store and they fitted it with no trouble. Ours is 2006 as well.

    Can anyone confirm that Defenders with white roof are pommie built cars and others are built in South Africa? (from the TD5 range), and hence the measurements of the rear end/chassis are slightly different? (albeit only very slightly)

    Ours is a white roof and was delivered from England, as they stopped bringing them in from SA then. Can't confirm re chassis though.

    This won't help with your immediate issue however the location of assembly should be the eleventh character in the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number):

    A = Solihull
    V = South Africa
    Mahn England
