    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for one that is a bit larger than the 52mm, but all the VDO ones I can find are 4-6-8 cyl... (specifically these ones)

Is there anything I'm missing? will they work with a Td5?

    Cheers!

I have used this mob a bit

    YAE100790 TACHOMETER HEAD UNIT TD5 | shop | www.lrseries.com | L. R. Series

It's not that cheap though, $180 + shipping.

Do a google search for the part number ( YAE100790 ) you may be able to get it cheaper.

From memory Land Rover charged me $200 to fit one in 2001 so I would expect now you will pay $150 to $200 ( or more ) for the part alone..

I got my TD5 tacho from this mob. www.croytec.co.uk

Not cheap though at about GBP130 plus postage.

Came with a "loom" which you don't really need and instructions which are essential if you haven't fully researched fitting it.

If you get your TD5 tacho from someone else, I'm happy to post a copy of the Croytec instructions to you if you need them (and a ECU connector pin and short length of wire which will also help). PM me if you want help..

No matter what the problem - there's a solution. You've just got to find it.

    Hi Guys,

I got one from a mob called Lowtension.com in UK a few years ago.

Still have all the fitting info here but no info on actual tacho other than it is a VDO
I think they had them specially callibrated for the 5 cyl cost about 50 quid
