svx style front grill treatment is now available as a genuine accessory. LR would not invest in developing this significant advance in resin injected engineering knowhow if they wasnt going to paint it a different color every year and flog it off as part of a special edition. same for the recaro seats.
Personally I am waiting for the 2011 special edition Defender Aqua, same **** as the ice, svx, and fire, but in blue. But then there is always the Defender Earth due for limited release next year, which will be significantly different, but brown, and the same.
60th anniversary, probably the last significant birthday for this original chassis, was a missed opportunity for this company to capitalize on its heritage. as we can see by this latest series of hairdresser wagons, LR is still run by the sycophantic PAG yank running dogs that wanna gentrify everything English.
Tata now makes mostly utilitarian type vehicles for a developing world market which kinda reminds you of what LR did originally before the poofters sired by the range rover took over the firm.

While old blighty may be cold and miserable for 364 days a year, lots of bits of western europe get quite hot in summer.

I'm sorry, but that has to be one of the most ridiculous colour schemes I have seen! At least it looks like they have the common sense not selling them here. Black roofs??? GT stripe looking paint??? Unless it has a supercharged V8 under the bonnet, they shouldn't try making it look like it does. I think the Land Rover marketing guys just don't care anymore, or else this global financial crisis has got them taking harder drugs than usual.

I think this must be a direct result of the success of the SVX.

I'll have a Jaffa one, thanks. I like it much better than the all-black SVX.

as for the ice falling off that happens anyway i dont think it has anything to do with a black roof happens to us in the uk on a white roof so dont see the connection
