    Puma-300tdi timing belt

Hi, Does the Puma engine have a timing belt or chain. Had a 300tdi which required the timing belt changed every 100,000kg. a bit of a pain. At the moment driving a SsangYong musso towing a 16.5' pop top caravan. This vehicle is adequate at the moment but I would like to update, both caravan and vehicle to a 110. Any thoughts

need to explain this.....as far as i'm aware the timing belt only needs to be changed between every 80 to 100,000 kilometers

The Puma engine is arguably not as good/reliable as the Mercedes diesel engines used in SsangYong musso, but they do have a timing chain.

IMHO, timing belts were given an undeserved bad name by the poor Land Rover engineering/cost cutting in its implementation in the 300Tdi.
