    Years ago, I had a shaft that had been made from 3 pieces of tube and would flog unis, snap some brands, as above, the only uni that would last was Hardi spicer and I tried numerous sorts from my local parts supplier

    Are the hardy splicer uni's greasable?... If not, do they still last as long as greasable ones . ( if driven normally)

    Most all are greasable that I've purchased, although I've used them for "other" things and they haven;t had a nipple

    Not sure of the brand mate.. But i did get it from Mr automotive...

    I don't really think it was the uni's fault.. i was giving it a fair hiding up the hill... i'm suprised it lasted as long as it did

    as i circled in the photo, there was a fault there before it broke. the reason for the fault is ether in the cutting of the thread for the grease nipple or an inclusion, i suspect the former but with out it in my hand etc etc
