    I've had mine to about 143kph but the GPS said 137kph which I believe over the Speedo.

    Oh and Dfendr, Love that avitar, I think if she told me to slow down, I am not sure I could!!

    UK Pumas are restricted as part of the pdi to either 82 or 87 mph

    As far as I'm aware Australian Puma's are NOT limited
    Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

    I think the caravan was being overtaken by him, not towed by him.

    Haven't have mine over 125, but that seemed plenty fast enough to me. Can't imagine how noisy 140 would be

    Since when? I was under the impression that WA was the only state that had a towing speed limit in place.

    I quite happily tow my tandem trailer behind my RRC at 110 kph where that is the speed limit. I have done so in the NT, SA and Vic.

    Check out all state limits The limit that applies to trucks and buses applies to towing too.At one time NSW was 90 but the limits were standardised Oz wide

    Bit off topic about Puma speed restrictors, but here is a link to speed limits when towing in Australia: Towing Guide

    Read the whole page, explains it quite nicely and appears current as of 2008.

    I love the way they standardised it across Australia, but good old WA said nah! (computer says No )
