Bilbo boggles
Can you send me the name of the place in Belgrave? I could only find "new belgrave motors" not sure if that's it. And you got anchor points rather than a crab?
Thanks

Do you know if the foam booster instead of the restraint points is accepted nation wide or should I check with the RTA?
Technically the only reason for a tether point for Booster seats, is to restain the empty seat in the event of an accident where there is no child in the seat. It serves no purpose in an accident where a child is in the seat as the main seat belt does the restraining.
So legally if a seat weighs under I think 2 kg then it does not require a tether strap, and therefore can be used in a car with no tether points. Foam booster seats don't have tether straps, and in fact there was a normal looking infasecure seat that weiighed under the limit and did not have tether straps, but they stopped making those last year due to lack of demand.
You may need to check with your states road authority though.
