so now i want to put twin bats in so i can stop worrying about my car not starting in the morning,

im after more after just pics and staying with just multi bat set ups,, hope helps other people to,

so were have you put the other battery and all the elects to go with??

P,S the second battery id be putting in would be at least 900cca

    Why 900 CCA?

CCA has nothing to do with the capacity of a battery nor its DOD which will be the important things to consider for a second battery for running fridges etc.

Modern batteries can be combined starter and deep cycle batteries. A good set up is to use two combined starter/deep cycle batteries such as Odyssey batteries. Combined that with an intelligent battery management split charging system you will have the ability to easily and readily start your vehicle from your second battery if need be.

There not they are that tight they dont move.I have a piece of 3mm rubber between both batteries to stop them rubbing againts each other. But I do have plans to secure them both down together just havent got that far yet.

But Iam also thinking about putting the deep cycle in the rear in my rear draw setup, in one of the compartments with a third battery.Iam never content, always changing something. But they should be secured I know even though they dont move, if we had a rollover (god forbid that never happens) the weight of batteries would come out. Also puting power in the rear would be a better idea to put the batteries in the rear. But I think purchasing that size was a bit of an overkill but I now know a little more about them and have relised I should of went another way.Live and Learn

Heres mine. Had the box for years but only got it wired into and secured to the back of the Defender last week. Bit bulky but really handy.
