Fitting the Equipe 4x4 roof console - HELP!

Ok managed to procure a Equipe roof console on ebay UK. And like everything else I have got from Equipe - no instructions - and this unit is a little bit more complex than a diff protector!

Has anyone installed one or seen instructions? Contacted LRS in UK and they are trying to find something, but keen to try and assemble the mechanno set and its plethora of varied fasteners prior to the Oz Day Weekend.

Any and all help will be appreciated. Will document the process and post some images once the insertion begins.

Looks to me as if you cut the rood lining out in the shape of the cavity that would be formed by the recessed part of the console, then the console is screwed on each side to the roof braces. It's kinda hard to tell from the photos though...

Thanks mate, the major confusion is the mounting brackets which are hidden by the roof lining... stay tuned

Lemme know if you need further help,
I might call Claudio @ Equipe on Monday and ask for pictorial instructions (assuming he has), or a few hints.

    Michele,

Still struggling to find any instructions (prior to cutting roof lining) ... so any help would be most appreciated!

Wow like alot of Equipe stuff this looks really nice. I had an Outback roof consol on the 110 when i got it. Fist thing i did was to take it out. In my mind interferd with the veiw and made the windscreen seam even smaller than it is and they are not that big in the first place.

But then i saw the price on Ebay for them WOW . mmmm

On the list but may be a while before i get round to it

I must say that it looks good, but fitting it could be a nightmare. Looks like you need to remove roof lining.
