    I was told that this noise is normal on the defender, I was told its the hydraulic hoses that run along the front chassis member that resonate, could be BS who knows but ive done 20000km since buying the old girl and it seems OK????????

    my 110 had done it since new, 03 model 70000kms, more noticable when cold.
