This is incorrect. A very reliable source has just told me that what PBob said is true. An all new bar is in development which will be available soon.

I habve a '94 Defender, so don;t know whether the design of teh ARB bars has changed at all, but if its any help I have the ARB winch bar and TJM side bars/steps and they mate up nicely.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Not sure - could also be factory LR (jury is still out on who makes those - but probably ARB or TJM or ...?). Whichever it was it looks like it saved the vehicle from what looks like a hard hit.

Are you possibly feeling the need to defend your TJM preference, perhaps?

It's your choice, patclan! But you did ask for some feedback on the two bars. Many here who have owned Defys for years have given you their opinion.

How can any judgement be made from that pic? Compared to what?

Everyone is just trying to help. And to return to the indicator lens colour question for a moment - my thoughts are go with orange ones. They are indicators. They are designed to be seen. Orange indicators might not look bling to some, but they are effective and visible.

    These are just my thoughts.

Ha absolutely not, my original post was about the indicators and where to source them, I never asked for the feedback on the two bars, I think you will find that was PBob, not I.

If I did ask then I would take the 'opinions' given gratefully but at the end of the day it is my decision and I will be happy with the one I make.

Regarding the pictures, I was looking for a sump protector with front recover points and I came across the defender photos, I thought it was apt to post considering the conversation, seeing as everyone appears to have an opinion and there does seem to be some knowledgeable people here I thought they may be able to pick the brand of bar. I dont care which one it is I have mine and I am sure they both have the + and - But I did think the picture was was interesting, thats why I posted it.

Seeing as advice is given and taken here then allow me to give mine, read the posts correctly before you give your 'thoughts' but of course, thanks for your input..

My mistake - sorry - and point taken. BTW - the bar is the genuine Land Rover bar. My understanding is that they are not as strong as either the TJM or the ARB, although I was under the impression that ARB made them too.

Again, re-reading the thread - my mistake and my humble apology.
