    Defender TD5 2001 air-conditioning replumbing

Just wondering if anyone has played (re-plumed) the air-conditioning vents on a TD5 defender. I haven’t dropped the air-con / speaker box to have a look inside.

But I was thinking, depending on how they get the cold air to the individual vents, of reducing the vents to two and possibly making some type of speaker box’s and doing away with the “pod” which should give a few extra inches of knee room?

    Anyone ever looked at this?

i've got a '99 TD5 and the previous owner removed the cover from the base to free up more footwell for the passenger. I haven't bothered putting it back on and there's no problems with it.
