			Help Calculating Battery Pack Capacity

					Hi,

I have an old stereo that can run on 10 X D cell batteries.

I want an alternative battery option because:

 - disposing of so many large batteries is no good
- they jump out of the enclosure and scatter around the floor when opening the battery cover
- chargers plus a set of 10 re-chargable D cells is > $100.

So I am looking at plonking an old laptop battery in there or something similar because it is nice to be able to take it outside away from the power plug.

So the questions I'm struggeling with:

 - How many mAh does 10xD give?
- How many Amps can 10xD provide?

Edit: found on the stereo it says 60W power consumption (mains). Also 15v for battery DC, so batteries run in series.

So I'm looking for a 15v battery with at least (?1) mAh and a max amp output of at least (?2) Amps?
