The motor goes into low level regen when you back off the throttle, its about the same as engine braking.
But further there is a 5K pot supposed to be hooked to the brake pedal to increase regen as you push the pedal down but I thought it would be more useful for me to mount the pot on the dash and vary the braking by hand to use as a "Hill Descent" control .
I have a switch on the pedal & I just set the regen pot on max for normal driving, in the wet I back it off so as to avoid a rear lockup.
So instead of using the brake pedal on long descents or Low Range hills I just pull the red knob , and vary the level according to the speed I want to maintain.
Yet to test it on proper hills as its rather flat around here but I'll trailer it to Mt Buffalo one of these days.
