rubber tyres particles are a real problem health wise as well

Particles are a problem, and they are common to all vehicles. EV's do tend to be better because they have less particles from brakes. Most drives I actually don't use the friction brakes at all.
None the less - it shows that the actual best environmental outcome is to walk, ride etc. If you must drive then EV's are somewhat better than your DC ute.

I worked in a near new building in one of Hobart's main thoroughfares. One of the main air intakes was above the front door which was up 1 flight of stairs and set back 15m from the street.
Maintenance to the duct was needed after about 10 years which exposed several cm of sticky black deposits of tyre dust and diesel smoke lying in there.
Disgusting!
We were breathing that.
City air is not clean by any measure.
Cheers
I'll say nothing about the veracity or otherwise of this vid, but if it's even half true I wouldn't be buying a Panda EV for any money. I guess we're lucky the domestic cars won't pass certification OS, or they'd be dumping them on us, or Europe. Make of this what you will, but it's food for thought..

Go for it! Show us how great they are :)
Speaking of monster EV utes.
The thing I found interesting here was the price per kwh and for petrol in the us is very similar. Only they get a gallon instead of a litre. I guess that's what you get for a monster military instead of healthcare.
