Pardon my lack of knowledge, but is the Effie 582 km range, whilst towing, or is it that it can tow 4 ton?
Edit: Just saw that towing has a fair impact on range, by up to 50% with a heavy load. So 582 km is not towing range.

Tesla Semi could have towed both vehicles and the trailer in a single load and done that same trip on a single charge. Has over 600km range when loaded with a 20t load, and probably over 800km if it just had the tandem trailer behind it.
So yes an EV could do that.
Right now the killer is the battery size needed to do that in a light vehicle. So nothing is on the market yet that could meet your needs but the technology is there to do it if a manufacturer was to target this market. Doubt they would find many buyers though - but at current fuel prices you never know.
The Rivian R1T would be the closest, if driven at “Slug Speed”, but would need to be recharged to then get you back. It has a 5T towing capacity and with the largest battery a real world range up around 600km with no load at 100kph but like all vehicles this range can halve when towing. Hence the need to recharge.
My expectation is BYD will be one of the first to offer something that could do this sort of trip on a single charge whilst towing a decent load. Unloaded 800-1,000km range, with a 3.5T towing capacity, would be a good market to target in Australia.
