Great idea. Small mine site though
45t is Goanna / Moxy territory. When the go 785 or larger that will be a potential game changer.
Brilliant Idea if your mine site is ontop of a mountain.

A bit like the rope haulage used on a few eighteenth century railways with similarly fortunately sited mines.
Loaded wagons going downhill pulled the empty ones uphill - same principle, just using batteries and electric motors instead of rope. Unfortunately, inapplicable for most mines (and other uses).

SubscriberBit of a pity that trucks have to haul loads UP out of open cut mines.
I doubt the energy gained by downhill empty would be enough to haul the next load uphill.
Still, seems a good idea for specific mines with a downhill load .
