My sad sack view is my old ( only by some peoples standards) 2009 would happily be an EV if I can with 900km range, tow about 3 tonnes and refuel recharge under 30 minutes. fairly sure that will be with me in a year or two. Bloody Optimists?

You may like "https://endless-sphere.com/" I am learning a little slowly as usual
Thats why I have 4 cars on full rego and will have another when the Power Wagon is done, You cant have one car to do every job. 95% of my driving is local thats where the EV wins, range anxiety is a figment of someone else imagination. .

    Hi folks,

first post so don’t trash me.....
Yes I used to live in Aus & have an Aussie daughter, but now live on the east coast of the USA.
44 years of engineering experience and been involved with Landys for 55 years ffs.... can’t be that old.!

Anyway I’ve kept pretty quiet for the last few months as I establish a specialised EV Landrover (series only) conversion company in the US.
Haven’t wanted to over promise and under deliver (ask my wife) but we are now well on the way to completing the first Series totally electric conversion.
Using Tesla battery’s as nothing else gets close to the energy density required. Have 45kwh of brand new lithium iron battery’s for sell if someone interested.

I can assure those of you that to do a half decent job will cost at least $30k in parts alone...before you even get into the time $$$$ and engineering expertise to complete the job.
Hope to post here soon with more details etc but here’s a picture as a taster.
