Remember that Gates will be paying a reported $110 to 120 US a mW (170 to 185 Au) for 20 years for the electron flow from a 3Mile reactor being refurbed partly at taxpayer expense.

This is a bit of a stark contrast to the prices being contracted for 20 years in the modern Au wind farm market of $55 to 60 a mW.

It was mentioned in a post above that there is a need for a limit of wind in the mix due to sync issues.

South Australia have used a system for a few years now whereby they can run wind at 95% and just 5% gas to maintain sync, in fact they're doing it as I write.

    cheers, DL

    There she Blows !

    Thar-she-blows.jpg
    A Key Catalyst from China

On Wednesday, China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) signed a three-year uranium supply contract with China Nuclear Fuel to deliver over 1,200 tonnes of uranium (approximately 3.12 million pounds of U3O8) annually from January 2026 to December 2028.
The contract features a pricing structure with 30% at a base-escalated price of US$94.22/lb (adjusted for inflation) and 70% tied to spot market prices at delivery. This contrasts with CGN’s 2023–25 contract, which had 40% fixed at US$61.78/lb and 60% spot-linked.

Some dayz An under-the-radar catalyst for uranium stocks

Some Dayz are bright unless your on the wrong side! A really good example why you should never take investment advice from waffle!!!

A fool and their money are ....... I do not own this company!

I genuinely feel sorry for the share holders! Commiserations to PEN share holders.

"The Company has agreed through mutual consent to terminate three of its sales contracts with global power utility companies for the delivery of dried yellowcake. These sales contracts represent 1,950,000 lbs over 8 years.
These terminations follow delays in the completion of the Central Processing Plant, as well as a comprehensive review of operations, including wellfield development. As a result, the Company has concluded that terminating these agreements is necessary to support the reset of its production strategy. No take or pay obligations or liabilities have been carried forward. "

The Squeeze is now on each of those three US power utilities to replace those 1,950,000 lbs over 8 years

A trillion dollars rolling in and a few extra billion cost here?

CSIRO economist and I do not agree on some aspects of estimated costs on Nuclear and Wind, Solar and Transmision lines.

From 2 billion estimate and 2 year to more than 12 billion and climbing "Snowy 2.0 faces cost blowouts beyond previous $12 billion target" is just one example of cost blow outs

I found about USD$1 Trillion invested in Uranium just this year today. IT wasn't ME

If you're interested, I started a yarn on it. Its free! Stops me cross posting on my investments in the sector
