Disposal woes

No wonder they don't want you chucking them in your rubbish bin. Someone could have loaded 36 pallets on my truck and I would have been none the wiser. does anyone know if this would be a placarded load here in Oz? Imagine this going off in the Burnley Tunnel.
I am not anti battery ( have phone, cordless tools, power bank ), but I don't believe the general public know anywhere near enough about just how dangerous they can be. Shorting just two 18650 cells can cause a serious fire. There's a good reason airlines don't want them in the luggage compartment.
